Elisia Howard

Owner & Founder of College Insights

As a seasoned expert in academic advising, college admissions, financial aid, and scholarships, I am deeply committed to guiding students through every stage of the college admissions process—from middle school to graduate school. With 20 years of experience in education, I’ve had the privilege of working with thousands of students worldwide, helping them navigate the often-complex journey to higher education.

I hold a Master’s in Education and am currently the only Certified Financial Aid Advisor in Washington state. In addition to being a Certified College Counselor, my diverse background includes curriculum development, nearly a decade in admissions, and five years as a university professor. I’ve also led corporate education for a large global company, further expanding my expertise.
This comprehensive experience gives me a unique, insider’s perspective on the admissions process, allowing me to provide unparalleled support and insights to the students I serve.

Student and Parent Testimonials

Elisia Howard and Karalee Behling are respected, well-liked, and valued members of the education community. Here are just a couple of opinions.

Elisia was extremely helpful in the entire application process. She ensured that I had no confusions going into it and made sure I was as comfortable as possible writing my essay and going though the decision process. I wouldn’t be able to navigate it as well as I did without her

She provided the structure, encouragement, and expert advice she needed to stay on track. Her personalized approach and unwavering support helped my daughter not only complete her applications on time but also present herself in the best possible light. Thanks to her guidance, my daughter was accepted into several schools, and we couldn't be more grateful. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for top-notch college application help.

support and counseling

Growing up today is overwhelming. Teens and young adults face academic pressure, anxiety, social stress, family changes, relationships, and big decisions about their future— often without the tools or support they need. Student Support & Counseling provides a safe, confidential, non-clinical space where students ages 12 and up can talk openly, build emotional resilience, and learn practical life skills. This is not therapy or academic tutoring.
It’s real-life support for real-life challenges.

Students gain tools for:
– Managing stress, anxiety, and overwhelm
– Building confidence, resilience, and emotional intelligence
– Navigating friendships, relationships, and family transitions
– Improving time management, organization, and executive functioning
– Breaking procrastination cycles and building follow-through
– Learning how to “adult” with clarity and confidence
Because of my background as a teacher and college counselor, we don’t just focus on today — we also create a clear plan for what’s next, whether that’s college, career exploration, or life after high school.
This is support that meets people where they are — with compassion, structure, and tools for life, not just for school. Because every student deserves someone in their corner.
